This resin ashtray was crafted using the interior pattern of a Dior envelope, carefully cut into a circular centerpiece with a romantic, French-inspired design. The soft blue and white toile-style imagery gives it a refined, timeless feel, while scattered blue and white Barbie shoes add a playful, unexpected twist.
When cutting the envelope, I didn’t notice the small Dior logo on the reverse side, which is why it’s off-center. I chose to leave it exposed rather than cover it, embracing the imperfection as part of the piece’s artistic character.
The result is a mix of elegance and boldness—romantic patterns with a touch of cheeky fun—perfect as a functional ashtray or as decorative art for your table or shelf.
